About me

I'm Leandro. I've been building things for the web since 1999 — back when tables were layout tools and JavaScript was something you copied from websites that looked cool. What started as a kid tinkering with software turned into 25+ years of professional development.

These days I work as a full-stack developer, mostly with Python, Node.js, and React. Lately I've been deep into the AI/LLM space — building RAG systems, AI agents, and figuring out how to make large language models actually useful in real products. It's the most exciting shift in tech I've seen in my career.

I've worked on all sorts of projects over the years: healthcare systems, fraud detection platforms, gaming apps, learning management systems, chatbots, and enterprise knowledge bases. I like the variety. Every domain has its own puzzles to solve.

When I'm not coding, I'm probably automating something at home. Home automation and IoT are a bit of an obsession — if a device can be connected and programmed, it probably already is. I also enjoy crafting, traveling whenever I can, and spending time with my wife and son.
